Pictures of What We Did This Weekend

Posted on September 8th, 2008

We had a fun weekend really. Lots of playing, snoozing and visiting makes us all happy campers.

First, our feline kin got busy in the woods in the backyard, scratching away. (This is one of his favorite activities, he runs from tree to tree as fast as a lighting bolt and climbs up them and then jumps down to run to the next one. It’s rather entertaining.)

Finally he settled down and wanted to take a nap, right on top of the grill! What a silly cat he is!

Then we dogs had a visit from our favorite cousin, Henry the Basset Hound. Here he is talking away to everyone who will listen (he is hardly ever quiet):

Then we decided to show Henry how to properly roach around in the yard (it didn’t work):

And finally, we ended up in our most favorite spot of all, the leather couch that we know are human beans bought just for us!

Pet Products of the Week: Dog Toy Giveaway!

Posted on September 3rd, 2008

Okay, I know it’s been a really long time since I did this so technically it shouldn’t be called “of the Week.”

But anyways, this is what I am giving away for the next contest (I’m giving away TEN) so be sure to leave me a comment on this post if you want to be entered (either that or sign up for the newsletter to be automatically entered). They are fun Halloween plush toys for dogs! The one I liked the best is the Halloween Pumpkin Hide-a-Toy from DogToys.com.

According to the site: “Trick and treat your dog with this entertaining Halloween Pumpkin puzzle toy. This unique halloween dog toy was designed to last longer than traditional dog toys in fun holiday themed shapes. Keeps your pet occupied and eliminates boredom. Also helps to develop your dogs’ intelligence and puzzle solving skills.”

You can put treats and cookies and things inside the pumpkin so your dog will have to get them out. It’s kind of like a fuzzy Kong toy in that regard I guess.

Also, I just found something else that’s really cool to do with your favorite cat pictures, dog pictures or whatever other animal photos you have. I already told you about the photo mousepad, the photo coasters, the photo blanket and the photo address book. Well now there’s another neat office item that you can make: a photo sticky notepad!

The 700-sheet photo sticky notepad cube features your favorite pet photo on all four sides. How cool is that? I already ordered mine. They’re really easy to make: just head over to PhotoWorks.com or click here to go right to the product.

Water Dogs

Posted on August 26th, 2008

Yesterday we blogged about our lazy weekend. Today we want to show you what our cousins (the Pit Bull mix and the Bassett Hound) did. They went to this beautiful area called the Cleveland Metroparks. It surrounds the cities of Cleveland like a green necklace (it’s really neat and beautiful). There is hiking, biking, creek-walking, dog-walking (or running), swimming and all kinds of other grrr-eat activities to do there.

Here are some pictures of our cousins Henry and Tux in the water.

We are a little jealous of all the fun they had creek-walking, swimming and chewing and chasing sticks in the water. Our parents promised us we can go this weekend though so we are really looking forward to it!

Do you have a favorite swimming spot? Share it with us!

Use Your Pet Pictures to Make Pet Lovers Gifts…

Posted on June 10th, 2008

I just found the coolest thing at PhotoWorks.com. You can upload all your favorite digital photos (obviously in my case they will be of my pets) and turn them into all kinds of cool gifts!

This first one is a pet photo mouse pad! You can make a collage of your favorite pet pictures and turn it into a mouse pad. I’ve seen people at my office with these homemade-looking mouse pads and I always wanted one. It’s so easy to do, too. All you do is upload the pics and they mail you the finished product.

Obviously the picture doesn’t use pet pictures as an example but you get the idea. I ordered my own pet photo mouse pad yesterday so now I will have even MORE pictures of my pets at work!

The other cool thing I think I might order from PhotoWorks is the photo coasters. I gave these as a gift once and it went over wonderfully but this time I am making them for myself with my favorite pet pictures. Here’s an example picture of the photo coasters (again, not using pets as the example on the site but you get the idea…):

I just found the coolest thing to do with your favorite pet picture…turn it into a puzzle!

This website called PhotoWorks lets you upload your favorite pet photo for them to turn into a 252-piece puzzle. They mail your pet photo puzzle to you with a matching tin. What a cool idea! The example picture at the top obviously isn’t a pet photo but you get the idea…
