		<description>Thank you for your email.

I thought for something to give you the &#039;nutrition&#039; to heal yourself you had to eat it (nutrition involves the assimilation of food into the body).

Is this the principle of the product, you put it on your dog or cat and they lick it off themselves, ingest it and it gives them the nutrition to heal themselves?

I would also like to know what perfumes are in the product not listed on the label (it is definitely scented, smells like creams I get from my compounding pharmacy via a dr/ prescription).

I would also like to know if this product has been tested by the FDA for both medicinal (topical antibiotic/antifungal properties) as well as, as you pointed out as a drug to be ingested to offer nutritional values? Also, what percentage of this product is salicylic acid?

I could not find this data on their website. I have contacted the company and no one is answering my questions.

		<description>Re: above comment:

Hello there,

I received your comment on my blog about the K9 Clear Up review and wanted to send you this information.

It says right on the home page of the K9 Clear Up website: (http://www.k9klearup.com/)

&quot;K9 KlearUp™ is a naturally antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiseptic balm that helps with the following 17 conditions:
Because our product is designed to work with your animal&#039;s immune system by giving it the nutrition necessary for the body to heal itself.
Think of it this way... You can get a paper cut and, without any effort on your part, see it healed up within a few days simply by letting your body take care of it (build new skin, fight off infection in the wound etc).
Your dog&#039;s system has the same ability but sometimes it needs a little help to do its job. And that&#039;s what K9 KlearUp was developed for: To work with your pet&#039;s immune system to help clear up the 17 most common canine skin and coat problems.
    Best of all, our product can help without containing any chemicals, any artificial preservatives or other potentially cancer-causing compounds that are found in way too many pet products.&quot;

Thanks for being a valued reader of ThoughtsFurPaws.com, and for participating in discussions on the blog.

    Sincerely,

<description>I have some concerns. Firstly, most of these problems are caused by autoimmune issues and a salve isn&#039;t going to stop them from recurring and I don&#039;t think putting cream on day after day, month after month is going to be good for a cat or dog.

My biggest concern is that this stuff might not be edible. If you keep slathering it on your dog (or especially cat) and it licks it off (which they all do no matter what you think), is it toxic?

I haven&#039;t seen any where it says it&#039;s not toxic when ingested.

Also how do i know it&#039;s antibacterial? has anyone tested it? After applying it with your fingers on your dog&#039;s foot or infected area, how do we know for sure the bacteria isn&#039;t going to grow in the jar?

Can you prove to me it&#039;s antiseptic and that it kills 100% of bacteria?

Sorry, I&#039;m not sold and won&#039;t be using this product on my pets.

It may be toxic, unproven and I don&#039;t see any documentation to prove otherwise on their website.</description>

<description>Good info to file, hopefully we won&#039;t need it. Phantom got a great salve in the mail from Mason Dixie for the itchies. He seemed to like it a lot as you can see on today&#039;s post.
