K9 KlearUp: Pet Product of the Week
We recently were sent a sample of K9 KlearUp to test out. We gave it to our cousins, the Basset Hounds, since they have so many problems with bug bites, hot spots, and gummy armpits.
Boy does this stuff work wonders. Our human Aunt Ashly, who owns the Bassets, said that K9KlearUp worked better than anything she’s ever tried on the hotspots and gummy armpits, and she’s tried everything over the years. We definitely give this product four paws up.
A little about what K9 KlearUp can be used for:
1) Hotspots: K9 KlearUp can be applied directly to any hotspot. A little bit goes a long way, so you only need enough to apply a very thin layer of the product to the affected area.
2) Ezcema, Acne and Rashes: Customers have been telling K9 KlearUp that chronic conditions that the vets normally prescribe steroid-focused medications for have been cleared up quite effectively with their product. Follow the same instructions as with the hotspots – apply the cream to the affected area. Note: If the affected area is quite large, you will want to try this sample out on just a small part of it (an inch or two squared). That way, you’ll have enough to apply it a bunch of times, which will give you the best results.
3) Bug Bites: It’s bug season and our dogs are just as likely as us (if not more so) to receive quite a few bug bites over the next few months. Sometimes the small ones can be ignored, but big, swollen itchy ones can be quite painful (and made worse by constant scratching). Apply a liberal amount of K9 KlearUp on the spot and you’ll notice an almost immediate relief.
4) General Itchiness: This is more of a general condition rather than anything specific, but for any chronic licking or scratching due to some sort of environmental problem (i.e. allergies, bug bites, rashes etc), applying a liberal amount of K9 KlearUp to the source of discomfort has brought almost immediate relief.
K9 KlearUp is a naturally antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiseptic balm so it’s safe for pets. It has a secret Mayan ingredient that makes it work… cool! BOL!

Nice to see another pawsitive post about it!
We passed on getting a sample (didn’t see a need/reason fur now) BUT we’ll keep it in mind!

Glad to know it worked so well. You must have gotten more in your sample than we did. There wasn’t enough to test on Buddy.
Thanks for sharing the product! Glad that worked well:)

This stuff sounds like miracle stuff! Our friend Marty might benefit. We’re going to let his mom know about K9 Klear Up!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
I have heard wonderful stories about this stuff before, Ill have to try it out this summer. Thanks for the info
Seems like something we might want to try. Our dogs get really dry irritated skin especially during the summer. Thanks for the review, ill check it out. where can you buy it…?
Good info to file, hopefully we won’t need it. Phantom got a great salve in the mail from Mason Dixie for the itchies. He seemed to like it a lot as you can see on today’s post.
Woos, the OP Pack
Thanks for sharing! This sounds like a great product!

I have some concerns. Firstly, most of these problems are caused by autoimmune issues and a salve isn’t going to stop them from recurring and I don’t think putting cream on day after day, month after month is going to be good for a cat or dog.
My biggest concern is that this stuff might not be edible. If you keep slathering it on your dog (or especially cat) and it licks it off (which they all do no matter what you think), is it toxic?
I haven’t seen any where it says it’s not toxic when ingested.
Also how do i know it’s antibacterial? has anyone tested it? After applying it with your fingers on your dog’s foot or infected area, how do we know for sure the bacteria isn’t going to grow in the jar?
Can you prove to me it’s antiseptic and that it kills 100% of bacteria?
Sorry, I’m not sold and won’t be using this product on my pets.
It may be toxic, unproven and I don’t see any documentation to prove otherwise on their website.
Re: above comment:
Hello there,
I received your comment on my blog about the K9 Clear Up review and wanted to send you this information.
It says right on the home page of the K9 Clear Up website: (http://www.k9klearup.com/)
“K9 KlearUp™ is a naturally antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiseptic balm that helps with the following 17 conditions:
Because our product is designed to work with your animal’s immune system by giving it the nutrition necessary for the body to heal itself.
Think of it this way… You can get a paper cut and, without any effort on your part, see it healed up within a few days simply by letting your body take care of it (build new skin, fight off infection in the wound etc).
Your dog’s system has the same ability but sometimes it needs a little help to do its job. And that’s what K9 KlearUp was developed for: To work with your pet’s immune system to help clear up the 17 most common canine skin and coat problems.
Best of all, our product can help without containing any chemicals, any artificial preservatives or other potentially cancer-causing compounds that are found in way too many pet products.”

Thank you for your email.
I thought for something to give you the ‘nutrition’ to heal yourself you had to eat it (nutrition involves the assimilation of food into the body).
Is this the principle of the product, you put it on your dog or cat and they lick it off themselves, ingest it and it gives them the nutrition to heal themselves?
I would also like to know what perfumes are in the product not listed on the label (it is definitely scented, smells like creams I get from my compounding pharmacy via a dr/ prescription).
I would also like to know if this product has been tested by the FDA for both medicinal (topical antibiotic/antifungal properties) as well as, as you pointed out as a drug to be ingested to offer nutritional values? Also, what percentage of this product is salicylic acid?
I could not find this data on their website. I have contacted the company and no one is answering my questions.
