This contest is a Scam my dog won week 11 and I have not received our $500 prize money either. Have been in contact with the other winners and they have not received theirs yet. We have left many voice mail messages, emails and still no response. When we do occassionaly get a response their is always an excuse that Joel the accounts coordinator is sick, out of the office or out of town. We were suppose to receive our payment according to the contest rules 1 week after Thanksgiving.

I can only speak for myself.
My dog was awarded a daily prize on October 16,2009 but I never have received anything not one word from the company.
The Admin never respondes to me.
I get auto replies that they receive my Mail so I know they can get through to me, they just DO NOT.
I have asked anyone who got their prizes to contact me but not one single person has contacted me.
I think the whole thing is a scam to get email addresses and plant cookies on our hard drives.
Feel free to contact me.

There are many things wrong with this contest:

1. agreed, it's a how-many-friends-your-owner-has contest, not a cutest dog contest. it should be judged by official judges.

2. the dogs that win, never have more than 300ish votes on Friday, then Sunday when we see who won hte day prior, the winners have over 2000 votes. How does that happen/make sense?

3. how does the contest make money and where do they get the money for the gifts?? it doesn't cost to register, there are no website advertisements, and there are no products to buy. i wonder if the winners are rigged, so they don't actually have to shell out any money, but want to build a rep for themselves using this competition, for if/when they eventually come out with a product.

4. this is all speculation. that being said...vote for me!...can't hurt!

I read somewhere in the contest pages (or heard on one of their videos) that the product wasn't yet made. Maybe it was in one of the "word from out sponsors" blogs. It sounded as if the contest was a way for them to get necessary funding; I wonder how that works?

I have a dog entered but we just don't seem to be able to get votes in the thousands; we do have a loyal group of voters and reach nearly five hundred weekly but that won't be enough to ever win.

I don't think that they even tried to nail the cheaters until week four or so; so overall, the contest has been making it up as it goes along.

So many have poured so much into the contest and I know of one dog I cannot believe was fairly disqualified. I have to believe that someone voted against the dog in a manner that got him dqed. The contest doesn't not have a way of keeping that from happening.

This afternoon I phoned the number shown on the web page for All American Pet Brands. I asked the lady who answered where I might find these pet food products they are touting. She told me that they have not started manufacturing yet, and "hope to get them going in a month or two."

This company claims to have been in existence for several years, and there has apparently never been any "product." I plan to check with the FDA or USDA (whoever controls pet foods) to see whether any formulations or test samples have been filed.

But this outfit is looking more shaky to me by the day. FWIW...

Has anyone actually SEEN the products this company claims to sell? Their address is a high-rise office/apartment building in Beverly Hills, not a factory for certain. "where to find" and "shop online" links on their product pages lead to "under construction" messages. A Google shopping search turns up none of these brands. All phone numbers associated with AAPB are unpublished, which is curious for a business entity.

This is at least the second contest they've run this year, and the company claims to have been in business about six years. Why go to all this trouble, then make the product difficult to find?

I have begun to suspect there actually is no product being produced, and that this contest is a subterfuge for collecting large amounts of personal information from people.
