Wow they weren’t kidding when they said you might need a kleenex and, I don’t really cry at sad stories. I guess the fact that I know its a reality for most animals. I know they are in a better place but it is still sad to think about. It makes me want to promise to be there for all 5 of my dogs. I hope this story touchs someone considering giving up their pet the way it touched us who truly love and will do anything for our pets. Its weird because we found a well groomed friendly dog yesterday that we want to keep but we have to wait to see if someone is going to claim her. Yet no one has or even put out any effort to find her, I saddens me that someone can just give up their pet or let their pet go missing with out any effort to find him/her. I know that she will be in a good home but what happens to the other millions of pets who are put in the same situation?

I’m a dog groomer, and I see dogs come in for grooming that are so mistreated or abandoned at the grooming salon. I Don’t Know who could put that shot into a dog, exspecially if they licked my hand and wagged their tail. This is the sadness thing I’ve ever heard.

It’s such a sad story. We just can’t fathom how anyone could turn their backs like this. When I(mum) was at the shelter the other day, people attempted to surrender three cats and a dog, and we were only there for 20 minutes. It’s nothing short of horrific.

I can’t read all of that because of the lump in my throat.

Last week, my co-worker saw a man in a business suit abandon a big, white, fluffy, clean, beautiful dog at a shopping center in Independence, Ohio (or was it Valley View?). She saw him tie up the dog outside a deli or some kind of eatery and give him a chew toy, then say goodbye to him. She was sitting in her van and didn’t realize he was “dumping” the dog, but she did wonder why he said goodbye for so long. The cops showed up while the dog still laid on the ground chewing his toy.

So the man in the suit decided the dog should be someone else’s problem. People astound me.

Mom says she’s read it befure – she knew what to expekht but she wanted to pay some respekht to the poor souls that happens to too freakin’ often…
