PLEASE Pray for Sasha…
Yes my friends, not even 4 months ago – actually, it will be exactly 4 months to the day that I lost my precious “son” Theodore on June 8.
Now Sasha is sick and showing the same exact symptoms Dora started with. She’s suddenly stopped eating over the last few weeks and has become EXTREMELY picky about what she does eat (which is TOTALLY out of character for her considering she was neglected when I rescued her), is slowly losing weight, has frequent vomiting, some diarrhea…
She’s going to the vet for some exploratory tests, etc, possible surgery this wknd.
Please say a prayer to whomever your Higher Power may be that Sash can pull through. I absolutely CANNOT go through this again after losing Theodore and Gibson 4 DAYS APART in February.
Sasha is a special cat as you all might remember from
my post, Sasha and the Cancer Patient, which was selected to be published in a book to go towards funding cancer research.
She’s absolutely considered our neighborhood’s “therapy cat” because she makes her daily rounds — visiting people and getting and giving love and companionship.
She goes about three to four houses in each direction each day to make her greetings and presence known. God only knows how many treats she gets beca
use she’s flat-out irresistible (I mean, look at that face and her coat…).
She has done this type of socializing ever since we lived in Colorado when I took her from the neglectful home at 6 months of age.
She grew up to be a sassy, independent and sometimes downright defensive little thing that no one can hold down (hmmm….sounds just like her mother!)
If Sasha is one thing, it is TOUGH. She had a way HARSH upbringing the first 6 months of her life and she’s a survivor. (God knows she used to fight back without front claws when Theodore would beat her up — the little brat used to pick on Sash-Kash-Begosh {cute nickname by the way, eh?} because he was jealous of her!!)
So please help us send prayers to our Animal God that Sash won’t have to even come near the Rainbow Bridge.
