Nicky Over The Rainbow Bridge
Saturday was a very tough day in my household. We had to say goodbye to our 19-year-old rescue housecat, Nickodemus. He was suffering from beginning stages of kidney and renal failure and had been in poor condition (with his kidneys) for months, but really went downhill Friday and Saturday. Obviously my family is devastated.
This cat has been with me since I was in 7th grade… he was so sweet, loved to eat fish, loved to snuggle into warm spots, and was my Mom’s best friend for years and supported her through all of life’s trials and tribulations. We used to call him Pops since he was so old. Nicky was a wild cat when we found him, 7 weeks old, and by wild I don’t mean crazy. I mean, running around in the wild and had never seen a human or the inside of a warm house before. It took months for him to acclimate.

Nickodemus
Nickodemus is now over the Rainbow Bridge after a heart-wrenching decision made at the Emergency Vet Saturday afternoon.
Please dear friends, say a prayer for our family and our sweet little orangie, Nickodemus.

Our thoughts are with you. It is always so sad to lose an old friend. It sounds as though Nicky had a great life, though, full of love and good times. He is now running free at the Bridge with many new friends, waiting until you meet again.
We are very sorry to hear about Nicky. Sending you purrs.
All cats love Heaven
they know the way there,
they know where the angel cats fly.
They’ll run past the stars
and the moon and the sun…
and curl up with God in the sky.
Our thoughts and purrrayers are with at this sad time,
Little Big Man, Pookie, Tobias, Pumpkin + Scooter
(Oh and meowmy too!)
So sorry to hear about the loss of Nicky. He will never be forgotten, as he will live on in your hearts. Take comfort in knowing that he knew love from you family. You gave him a great life.
We are sending prayers for comfort to you and your family!

19 years. What a good long life he had with you. We don’t have any words to make your loss easier, but we do understand your pain. Purrs, hugs and tail wags!
I just got a Tweet about Nicky’s passing & I am so sorry for your loss of a special long time friend & family member. Having had to send my sweet Frances over the bridge 3 weeks ago and before that, last year in June, Jackson passed away suddenly… I know how the heart aches. There are two large holes in my life but I have such wonderful memories! You all have memories to treasure also. Keep them close & time will heal.
With special love
gara and Tabby, Snickers, Moonpie, & Milky

There is never a good day to lose someone you love. If you spend 100 years together there is always one more day that needs to be spent together. Please know that I am sending my deepest sympathy for your loss. I’ve been in your shoes and I will be there again because I cannot and will not live without animals in my home and at my feet.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I just lost my beloved 6 year old tuxie, Max, to undiagnosed liver cancer. He died at my feet while I was trying to call the vet. He was also a feral that I rescued when he was only about 3 weeks old. My oldest cat will be 15 this month so I know how attached you become. I hope you can remember the fun and loving times. You did a wonderful by giving him 19 years of love and care! May God bless you and give you strength.
You should check out the movie version of the Rainbow Bridge… it’s nice.
